ومنذ ذلك الحين، تعرض إنفانتينو لضغوط متزايدة للمغادرة، لكنه أعلن عزمه الترشح لولاية رابعة في انتخابات مارس 2027.

وتنطلق البطولة بمواجهتي بولندا أمام الأرجنتين، والمكسيك ضد بنين في كاتوفيتسه، بينما لم يحسم «فيفا» حتى الآن موقف إنفانتينو من حضور المباراتين.

All eyes will be on Poland tomorrow, Saturday, which is hosting the Women's World Cup Under 20 until September 27, with expectations of around 15,000 fans attending the opening matches, amid ongoing uncertainty regarding the participation of Gianni Infantino, the President of FIFA, in the event.

The tournament comes at a sensitive time for Infantino, following his withdrawal from the "FIFA Forward Enterprise" project after strong opposition from UEFA and other continental federations. This proposal aimed to transfer the commercial rights of FIFA competitions to a new company in exchange for private investments estimated at around $4.2 billion.

Since then, Infantino has faced increasing pressure to step down, but he has announced his intention to run for a fourth term in the elections scheduled for March 2027.

The tournament will kick off with matches between Poland and Argentina, and Mexico against Benin in Katowice, while FIFA has not yet clarified Infantino's status regarding attendance at the matches.
