نجحت الأجهزة الأمنية في القاهرة في الإيقاع بتشكيل عصابي يضم 12 شخصًا، بعد اتهامهم بانتحال صفة رجال شرطة وتنفيذ عملية سرقة استهدفت تاجر ذهب أثناء توجهه إلى أحد محلاته التجارية بمنطقة وسط القاهرة.

وأوضحت التحريات أن أفراد التشكيل استوقفوا المجني عليه مدّعين أنهم رجال شرطة، وعندما طلب منهم إثبات هوياتهم، انهالوا عليه بالسباب قبل أن ينتزعوا حقيبته التي كانت تحتوي على كمية من المشغولات الذهبية ومبالغ مالية، ثم فروا من موقع الحادثة.

وكشفت التحقيقات، مدعومة بتفريغ كاميرات المراقبة في محيط الواقعة، هوية المتهمين، ليتبين أنهم يشكلون عصابة مكونة من 12 شخصًا تمارس نشاطها الإجرامي في نطاق محافظة القاهرة.

كما أظهرت التحريات أن عددًا من المتهمين سبق أن تورطوا في قضايا تتعلق بالنصب وانتحال الصفة الأمنية، فيما باشرت الأجهزة المختصة اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية بحقهم، وأُخطرت النيابة العامة التي تولت التحقيق لاستكمال كشف ملابسات القضية وتحديد المسؤوليات الجنائية.

وتأتي هذه الواقعة ضمن سلسلة من قضايا انتحال الصفة التي شهدتها مصر خلال الفترة الأخيرة، إذ كانت الأجهزة الأمنية قد ألقت القبض أخيرًا على شخص انتحل صفة مستشار، مستغلًا ملابس تشبه الزي القضائي لتضليل ضحاياه، كما صوّر مقاطع فيديو داخل محكمة شمال القاهرة لإضفاء المصداقية على ادعاءاته.

وأظهرت التحقيقات في تلك القضية أن المتهم استعان بثلاثة موظفين بالمحكمة، مكّنوه من دخول المبنى وقاعات الجلسات بعد انتهاء ساعات العمل الرسمية مقابل مبالغ مالية، ليستخدم تلك المواقع في تصوير محتوى يدعم مزاعمه.

وفي سياق متصل، كانت إحدى المحاكم المصرية قد أصدرت في يناير 2026 حكمًا في قضية تعود إلى مارس 2023، أدانت فيها أربعة متهمين بانتحال صفة ضباط شرطة، بعد إدانتهم بخطف شخص بالتحايل واحتجازه وسرقة أمواله وانتهاك حرمة حياته الخاصة، إذ عاقبت المتهم الرئيسي بالسجن المشدد لمدة 10 سنوات، فيما قضت بالسجن المشدد خمس سنوات بحق المتهمين الثلاثة الآخرين.

The security forces in Cairo succeeded in apprehending a criminal gang consisting of 12 individuals, after they were accused of impersonating police officers and carrying out a robbery targeting a gold merchant as he was heading to one of his shops in downtown Cairo.

Investigations revealed that the gang members stopped the victim, claiming to be police officers, and when he asked them to prove their identities, they began to verbally abuse him before snatching his bag, which contained a quantity of gold jewelry and cash, and then fled the scene.

The investigations, supported by footage from surveillance cameras in the vicinity of the incident, uncovered the identities of the suspects, revealing that they form a gang of 12 individuals engaged in criminal activities within the Cairo Governorate.

Furthermore, the investigations showed that several of the suspects had previously been involved in cases related to fraud and impersonation of security personnel, while the relevant authorities initiated legal proceedings against them, and the public prosecution was notified to investigate further to uncover the circumstances of the case and determine criminal responsibilities.

This incident is part of a series of impersonation cases that have occurred in Egypt recently, as security forces had recently arrested a person who impersonated a consultant, exploiting clothing similar to judicial attire to mislead his victims, and filmed videos inside a court in northern Cairo to lend credibility to his claims.

Investigations in that case revealed that the suspect enlisted the help of three court employees, who allowed him to enter the building and courtrooms after official working hours in exchange for money, enabling him to use those locations to film content that supported his claims.

In a related context, one of the Egyptian courts issued a ruling in January 2026 in a case dating back to March 2023, convicting four defendants of impersonating police officers after they were found guilty of kidnapping a person through deception, detaining him, stealing his money, and violating his private life. The main defendant was sentenced to 10 years in strict imprisonment, while the other three defendants received sentences of five years in strict imprisonment each.
