أعلنت وزارة الدفاع في كوريا الجنوبية، تأجيل إطلاق الصاروخ الفضائي «مير» بسبب مخاوف تتعلق بالسلامة ومشكلات فنية رصدت في الاستعدادات الأخيرة.

ويعمل «مير» بالوقود الصلب وهو مخصص لرصد وتبادل الصور الفضائية عالية الدقة، كما أنه يتميز بهيكله المبتكر الذي يدمج أربع مراحل دفع متطورة قادرة على نقل حمولات دقيقة إلى المدارات الأرضية المنخفضة.

وتسعى وزارة الدفاع الكورية من خلال هذا البرنامج التابع لوكالة التطوير الدفاعي إلى نشر شبكة تضم ستين قمرًا اصطناعيًا صغيرًا بحلول عام 2030، لتقليص زمن رصد وتحديث البيانات الفضائية إلى ثلاثين دقيقة فقط، مؤكدة أن موعد الإطلاق الجديد سيُحدد بعد مراجعة كافة الأنظمة وحل الخلل الفني.

The South Korean Ministry of Defense announced the postponement of the launch of the space rocket "Mir" due to safety concerns and technical issues detected in the recent preparations.

"Mir" operates on solid fuel and is designed for high-resolution satellite image monitoring and exchange. It also features an innovative structure that integrates four advanced propulsion stages capable of delivering precise payloads to low Earth orbits.

The Korean Ministry of Defense aims, through this program under the Defense Development Agency, to deploy a network of sixty small satellites by 2030, reducing the time for monitoring and updating satellite data to just thirty minutes. They confirmed that the new launch date will be determined after reviewing all systems and resolving the technical malfunction.
