وسط قلق إسرائيلي متصاعد بشأن مذكرة التفاهم المرتقبة بين واشنطن وطهران، كشف نائب كبيرة موظفي البيت الأبيض ستيفن ميلر اليوم (الجمعة) تقديم إيران تنازلات «كبيرة وجوهرية» للولايات المتحدة في إطار المفاوضات الجارية.

وقال ميلر لشبكة فوكس نيوز: «إن إيران قدّمت تنازلات كبيرة وجوهرية للولايات المتحدة في المفاوضات»، مؤكداً أن هذه التنازلات كان من «المستحيل» تحقيقها قبل وقت قصير فقط.

وأشار إلى أنه «لا يوجد حتى الآن اتفاق نهائي، ولا شيء حُسم بصورة كاملة»، مبيناً أن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أوضح أنه يحتفظ بخيار اتخاذ «أي إجراء ضروري» حالياً أو مستقبلاً للدفاع عن الأمن القومي الأمريكي وحمايته.

وكان ترمب قد قال للشبكة ذاتها، في وقت سابق اليوم، إن أي اتفاق مع إيران يبقى مرهوناً بتحقيق «صفقة جيدة» للولايات المتحدة، مضيفاً: «لو لم نقصف إيران بقاذفات بي-2 قبل 9 أشهر، لكان لديهم الآن سلاح نووي».

وأكد أن «كل الأوراق باتت في يديه» بعد ما وصفه بـ«هزيمة إيران عسكرياً»، معتبراً أن الأسطول البحري الإيراني «اختفى كلياً»، وأن سلاح الجو الإيراني «اختفى تماماً».

في غضون ذلك، يناقش وزير الخارجية الأمريكي ماركو روبيو اليوم، في مقر الوزارة بواشنطن، مع وزير الخارجية الباكستاني محمد إسحاق دار، مذكرة التفاهم المرتقبة والجهود الدبلوماسية المبذولة، بحسب ما أعلنته وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية.

من جهة أخرى، عبّر مسؤولون عسكريون في وزارة الدفاع الأمريكية عن حيرتهم إزاء الطبيعة «المتقطعة والمتذبذبة» للصراع بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران.

ونقلت صحيفة نيويورك تايمز عن مسؤول دفاعي أمريكي قوله إن أكثر من 50 ألف جندي أمريكي مكلّفين بالملف الإيراني، وموزعين في أنحاء الشرق الأوسط وأوروبا والولايات المتحدة، يعيشون حالة من «عدم اليقين»، بينما ينتقل ترمب من خيار إلى آخر.

Amid rising Israeli concerns regarding the anticipated memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller revealed today (Friday) that Iran has made "significant and substantive" concessions to the United States as part of the ongoing negotiations.

Miller told Fox News: "Iran has made significant and substantive concessions to the United States in the negotiations," emphasizing that these concessions would have been "impossible" to achieve just a short time ago.

He noted that "there is no final agreement yet, and nothing has been fully decided," explaining that President Donald Trump has made it clear that he retains the option to take "any necessary action" now or in the future to defend and protect American national security.

Earlier today, Trump told the same network that any agreement with Iran remains contingent on achieving a "good deal" for the United States, adding: "If we hadn't bombed Iran with B-2 bombers nine months ago, they would have a nuclear weapon now."

He asserted that "all the cards are in his hands" after what he described as "the military defeat of Iran," considering that the Iranian naval fleet has "completely disappeared," and that the Iranian air force has "entirely vanished."

Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is discussing the anticipated memorandum of understanding and the diplomatic efforts being made today at the State Department in Washington with Pakistani Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, according to the U.S. State Department.

On another note, military officials at the U.S. Department of Defense expressed their confusion regarding the "intermittent and fluctuating" nature of the conflict between the United States and Iran.

The New York Times reported a U.S. defense official stating that more than 50,000 American soldiers tasked with the Iranian file, distributed across the Middle East, Europe, and the United States, are living in a state of "uncertainty," while Trump shifts from one option to another.
