في واقعة صادمة هزت الأوساط المحلية، تحولت الطقوس التقليدية لزيارة القبور في ثاني أيام العيد بمحافظة ديالى شمال شرق العاصمة بغداد إلى مأساة مروعة، بعدما أسفرت مشاجرة دامية داخل مقبرة عن مقتل شاب في مقتبل العمر طعناً بالسكين، لتبدل الفاجعة أجواء العيد إلى مأتم وعزاء.

وكانت عائلة عراقية قد توجهت إلى مقبرة «الدوجمة» الواقعة في قضاء الخالص شمالي ديالى، لإحياء تقليد متوارث تحرص عليه الكثير من الأسر في المناسبات لزيارة أضرحة الراحلين من أقربائهم وتذكرهم. إلا أن الزيارة اتخذت مساراً مأساوياً إثر اندلاع ملاسنات حادة بين أفراد العائلة وعدد من الشبان المتواجدين في المكان، سرعان ما تطورت إلى مشاجرة عنيفة استخدم فيها السلاح الأبيض.

ووفقاً لمصادر إعلامية محلية، فقد تلقى الضحية، وهو شاب في العشرينات من عمره، طعنات نافذة بضربات حادة، أسفرت عن مفارقته الحياة على الفور داخل المقبرة قبل محاولات إسعافه.

وفور وقوع الحادثة، طوقت القوات الأمنية مسرح الجريمة ونقلت جثة المجني عليه إلى دائرة الطب العدلي، فيما تمكنت من إلقاء القبض على الجاني الرئيسي وثلاثة أشخاص آخرين شاركوا في المشاجرة. واقتيد المتهمون إلى مراكز التحقيق للوقوف على ملابسات ودوافع الجريمة، تمهيداً لإحالتهم إلى الجهات القضائية المختصة.

In a shocking incident that shook the local community, the traditional rituals of visiting graves on the second day of Eid in Diyala province, northeast of the capital Baghdad, turned into a horrific tragedy, after a bloody brawl inside a cemetery resulted in the stabbing death of a young man, transforming the festive atmosphere of Eid into a mourning and condolence gathering.

An Iraqi family had headed to the "Dojma" cemetery located in the Khales district in northern Diyala to uphold a cherished tradition that many families observe during occasions to visit the graves of their deceased relatives and remember them. However, the visit took a tragic turn following a heated exchange between family members and a number of young men present at the site, which quickly escalated into a violent brawl involving sharp weapons.

According to local media sources, the victim, a young man in his twenties, suffered fatal stab wounds from sharp strikes, resulting in his immediate death inside the cemetery before any attempts could be made to save him.

Immediately following the incident, security forces cordoned off the crime scene and transferred the body of the victim to the forensic medicine department, while they managed to arrest the main perpetrator and three other individuals who participated in the brawl. The suspects were taken to investigation centers to clarify the circumstances and motives behind the crime, in preparation for their referral to the relevant judicial authorities.
