ووفقاً لما أوردته صحيفة Economic Times، لجأ المزارع إلى استخدام الدرون لنقل خنزير مخصص لاحتفالات رأس السنة من قمة الجبل إلى أسفله قبل موعد الذبح، آملاً إنجاز العملية قبل شروق الشمس، إلا أن ضعف الرؤية الليلية أدى إلى اصطدام الحبل المعلّق بالدرون بخطوط كهرباء ذات جهد عالٍ، ما أسفر عن تعليق الدرون والخنزير في الهواء وحدوث تماس كهربائي تسبب في انقطاع الكهرباء عن القرية.

وحاول المزارع معالجة الموقف بمفرده دون إبلاغ الجهات المختصة فوراً، الأمر الذي فاقم المشكلة وأدى إلى تأخير أعمال الإصلاح. وعقب إخطار قسم الكهرباء، استغرق فريق مكوّن من 12 فنياً نحو عشر ساعات لإزالة العوائق وإصلاح الخطوط المتضررة، بكلفة قُدّرت بنحو 10 آلاف يوان صيني.

وأفادت الشرطة المحلية بأن المزارع قد يواجه اتهامات بتشغيل طائرة مسيّرة في منطقة محظورة، ما قد يعرّضه لغرامات مالية أو إلزامه بتحمل تكاليف الإصلاح في حال ثبوت مخالفته للقوانين المعمول بها.

ويأتي هذا الحادث في وقت جددت فيه وزارة الأمن العام الصينية تحذيراتها من تزايد الاستخدام غير المصرح به للطائرات المسيّرة، مشيرة إلى المخاطر المتزايدة التي تشكلها على سلامة الطيران والأمن العام، خصوصا مع تسجيل حالات تحليق قرب مسارات الطائرات التجارية وإجراء تعديلات غير قانونية على بعض الأجهزة لتجاوز الارتفاعات المسموح بها.

According to the Economic Times, the farmer resorted to using the drone to transport a pig intended for New Year celebrations from the top of the mountain to the bottom before the slaughter time, hoping to complete the operation before sunrise. However, poor nighttime visibility led to the drone's tether colliding with high-voltage power lines, resulting in the drone and the pig being suspended in the air and causing an electrical short circuit that cut off electricity to the village.

The farmer attempted to handle the situation alone without immediately notifying the relevant authorities, which exacerbated the problem and delayed repair efforts. After notifying the electricity department, a team of 12 technicians took about ten hours to remove the obstacles and repair the damaged lines, at an estimated cost of around 10,000 Chinese yuan.

Local police reported that the farmer may face charges for operating a drone in a restricted area, which could expose him to fines or require him to bear the repair costs if found to have violated applicable laws.

This incident comes at a time when the Chinese Ministry of Public Security has renewed its warnings about the increasing unauthorized use of drones, highlighting the growing risks they pose to aviation safety and public security, especially with reports of flights near commercial aircraft routes and illegal modifications to some devices to exceed permitted altitudes.
