قُتل 22 شخصًا على الأقل وأصيب أكثر من 30 آخرين في حادثة قطار ناجم عن انهيار رافعة على خط للسكك الحديد في شمال تايلند، وفق ما أعلنت السلطات المحلية.

ووقعت الحادثة في وقت مبكر صباح اليوم، عندما سقطت رافعة على السكك الحديد على قطار ركاب في «ناخون راتشاسيما» شمال شرق العاصمة بانكوك.

وقالت إدارة العلاقات العامة بـ«ناخون راتشاسيما» في بيان: «انهارت رافعة على قطار مما أدى إلى خروجه عن السكة واشتعال النيران فيه».

وكانت الرافعة تستخدم في بناء مشروع لإنشاء شبكة سكك حديد عالية السرعة في تايلند، تهدف إلى ربط بانكوك بمدينة «كونمينغ» في الصين.

At least 22 people were killed and more than 30 others were injured in a train incident caused by a crane collapse on a railway line in northern Thailand, local authorities announced.

The incident occurred early this morning when a crane fell onto the railway, striking a passenger train in "Nakhon Ratchasima," northeast of the capital Bangkok.

The Public Relations Department of "Nakhon Ratchasima" stated in a statement: "A crane collapsed onto a train, causing it to derail and catch fire."

The crane was being used for the construction of a high-speed rail network project in Thailand, aimed at connecting Bangkok to the city of "Kunming" in China.
